Friday Open Thread

I’m working on the Pirates’ draft review, and it should be up tonight, if not sooner. In the meantime, here’s an open thread for you to suggest anything or ask anything.

How do you like the draft reviews?

What pro debuts stick out most to you so far?

What other features would you be interested in?

What are your personal grades for the Nationals, Mariners, and Padres?

  1. What do you think of the Kentrail Davis situation? It seems pretty underhanded to name a figure and then turn it down when the team agrees to it. Any thoughts on where that will go?

    • I still think he’ll get signed and it will be for the money the team offered. People forget that Boras is his agent, so there’s going to be some wrangling involved. If the negotiations are easy, then he’s not doing his job. Something like this could potentially spiral, though, and the Brewers could be a club that shies away from Boras clients for awhile as a result.

  2. How about Matt Carpenter coming out of the gate ON FIRE for the Cards? I was a big fan of the pick when we made it and is nice to see him contributing so quickly.

  4. Thoughts on Reymond Fuentes? He seems to be starting off well.
Also, what are the chances that Max Stassi signs with Oakland?
