  1. I am digging the Reyes pick here by Milwaukee. He has 2 legitimate plus pitches, and solid average stuff, so to get him here is a good value choice…

    Morris is not at a premium defensive position, so to make the show he really has to rake. Fortunately, he has the stuff to do so.

    Goodwin, as a high school sophomore is supremely talented, but let’s be clear here, he is at a minimum 5 years away, and that is if he rakes at every level. However, 5 tool studs, or even potential 5 tool studs, don’t come along very often, so I can understand the pick, although I still think it is a bit of a reach.

    The Coffey pick is curious as well. Coming back from TJ in HS is no small feat, but I guess the blueprint has already been proven to work sometimes, as it did with Nick A. in California. He seemingly would’ve been there later, though, no?
