  1. No way Machado’s that high. His D is too shaky. Paxton and Brentz should be in top 15.

  2. Wow, I love that you have Dylan Covey that high up and even before Whitson. Personally, I think Covey is the most underrated prep arm. I guess he lacks projection, but he makes up for that with being more relatively polished than the other top prep arms and he also has possibly the best curve in the class along with a surprisingly good changeup. I know I may be in the complete minority here, but after Taillon, I like Covey’s polish and quality arsenal over Cole’s extreme projection. I definitely expect him to rise up draft boards especially considering how low he sits on most.

  3. Very interesting news out of LSU yesterday. Anthony Renauldo will miss his start due to elbow discomfort. Definitely something to keep an eye on.

  4. Re: Machado, I hear he’s close to a lock to stick at SS and his defense is impressive. I predict a top 10 pick, maybe top 5. I’m also a bit surprised Josh Sale isn’t projected to go higher (although I guess understandable since he’s probably ticketed for LF). From what I’ve heard, he easily has the best high school bat in the draft.

…Why is Castellanos so low? I know #29 is nothing to sneeze at, but I’ve seen other projections where he’s in the 1st half of Rd 1. Do you think Cowart is better than him, or just rumors you’re hearing on these selections? Or do you project Cowart as a pitcher?
